This stately Colonial was large but had poor flow and a less than ideal layout. A kitchen with no light and views, a hallway that was circuitous and dark, no access to the driveway or garage from inside the house. By adding on a light-filled family room that opens onto a new elegant kitchen, a sunroom, a new mudroom, powder room and turning a staircase around, this classic house became a wonderful home filled with light and functionality for a modern family. Upstairs, a new larger master bath with a large dressing room filled with light, larger family bath and larger guest bath and a new bedroom were created from existing square footage.
